6:34 PMAndrew Eisen*journalism

6:35 PMTrilinkoh right cool, have you guys discussed the criteria in which a piece of journalism is judged on

6:38 PMAndrew Eisen

6:40 PMTrilinkoh cool, thanks

6:41 PMTrilinkis that the URL? i get a 404 error :/

6:42 PMAndrew EisenIt should. Search “kunkel awards” and you should find it.

6:43 PME. Zachary KnightThere are some extrenuous characters at the end of that url for some reason. CLear out everything after the .asp

6:44 PMTrilinkMy perception of Gaming Journalism is that the bar/quality of writing is lesser in Gaming Journalism of other journalism counterparts, such as politics or sports

6:45 PMTrilinkgot it thanks Zachary

6:49 PMAndreas Protopapashey everyone

6:51 PMTrilinkBrittany, you mentioned the judging process earlier. Do you remove the names of submissions before giving them to judges in order to remove any implicit biases that they may hold?

6:51 PMTrilinkif not, would this be something you might implement in the future?

6:52 PMTrilinkyeah Zacharys got it

6:54 PMAndreas Protopapasapologies if this was asked/answered earlier, but in some categories of previous years (eg. 2016) awards there are no second or third place awards given. why?

6:56 PMAndreas Protopapasthanks

7:02 PMTheGypsyBrigadewhat is SPJ?

7:03 PMAndreas Protopapasmight be too late for this year’s awards, but is there a way someone can become a judge for next year’s?
