Welcome to Movie Mandates, a review show in which sibling cinephiles Andrew and Keleigh force each other to watch movies according to a monthly theme!  Considering that it is now 2023, I figured it was finally time to see what all the fuss over Beyoncé is about.  I hear she’s kind of a big deal and I would do well to maybe hear some of her music.  Well, January’s theme is, fittingly, New Year’s Resolutions, so I mandated my sister watch Black Is King, because if I have to familiarize myself with a modern pop star, so does she.

BREAKING NEWS: My sister knows exactly who Beyoncé is, why she’s a big deal, and can name several songs from her oeuvre.
