Hi, hello and welcome to the year end episode of The Bonus Stages. Originally I had intended to do a ‘Best of 2024’ mix for December, but then the lovely folks at RadioSEGA (https://www.radiosega.net/) reached out to me to host a guest spot as part of their 2024 Winterfest. I thought this was a great opportunity to challenge myself to put together a mix in the usual vein of The Bonus Stages but focusing on Sega music for the VGM portion of the episode. While I was incredibly satisfied with the setlist I put together, I wasn’t super thrilled with how the live set came out, it definitely wasn’t my best showing. So to close out the year I sat down and re-record the setlist as a two hour uninterrupted studio mix, including some tracks I had originally cut for time or just because I couldnt get the transition to sound good in the dry runs.
