Welcome to Movie Mandates, a review show in which sibling cinephiles Andrew and Keleigh force each other to watch movies according to a monthly theme! We’re wrapping up TV Movies month with Keleigh’s mandated movie, Duel, the feature film debut of Steven Spielberg, which aired on ABC back in 1971, about a man terrorized by a semi-truck on the lonely highways of the California desert. Is there a man of flesh and blood driving the truck or is it a ghost truck, forever cursed to roam the Antelope Valley Freeway to sate its unquenchable thirst for blood?
It’s just a dude but he’s not really important so if you like “ghost truck” better, let’s go with that!
