WHat's wrong with the DeJap translation?

The key word being "official." DeJap took some liberties and exaggerated a bit, anyway.

I know, but isn't that what made the game to what it is?

No, I don't think the game's entire value is hinged on a line about someone fucking like a tiger.

I thought the translation made the game quirky and somewhat fun; although obviously not official, but it was part of what made it for me. I don't care that much for RPGs any more anyway, there's no way I am going to complete them when I can be doing more fun things, so I'm not going to get this anyway.

I would still like to see the official translation anyway, to see if it was as much of a stereotypical RPG as I thought when I played it.

Heh, I heard something interesting about the new translation...

Anyone familiar with the games knows that there's a lot of Norse mythological influence, right?

Open Word, type Ragnarok, and see what suggestions it makes about "correcting" it.

The first one's what ended up in the game.

The battle styles in the GBA style suck compared to the SNES one. I'm gonna skip it and go for Hunters and Tetris DS instead.

Some sort of big Tales related announcement is coming up on 6/20 for those interested.

http://ds.ign.com/articles/712/712532p1.html

I think I'm still interested in acquiring the DS game once that's released. Wish I knew some japanese.

QUICK LETS SPECULATE

I bet it's nothing we're hoping for, and we all know what that is: An FFX-2 style game featuring Arche, Mint, Raine, and Sheena.

What?

My guess is they'll announce the DS game to be going online using the official Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

Maybe there'll even be a wireless/interactive connection between a new Wii game and the DS game.

I can hope anyways.

Anybody noticed how Sheena looks and acts like Misao from the Kenshin anime series ?

It's been three, almost four years since I've seen Kenshin. All I remember is that Zanza was by far the coolest there.

I just started playing Tales of Symphonia again.

I had a finished save, so now I get double experience and. . .something else, I forget what.

I started a new playthrough as well, only with combo experience. Basically, you get 1 point of experience by default, but after doing at least a ten hit combo, it turns into a multiplier, so a 50-hit combo would get you five times the normal experience. It's fun.
