Because I got involved in this project, I just bought Tales of Symphonia. It's pretty cool, the tech learning and level up system is goddamned addicting. However, I spoiled myself with Final Destination's ending voice clip 8-)

Oh and Colette reeks death too and that kinda pisses me off cause I liked the idea of having an angel as a character. Hope she dies near the end, if she indeed does.

Don't worry, there's more than a few angel characters, as you'll come to learn as you go through the game. ;)

And yes, Colette is pretty annoying. You'll get used to it, though.

I wish DeJap translated the Japanese version of Tales of Symphonia. That would probably give some more interesting conversations  . Symphonia... I don't know. I have the feeling that I'm watching a kid's show when I'm playing it. After twelve hours of playing, the conversations can be quite annoying...

It's a nice game in my opinion, but it doesn't come close to the quality of Phantasia (I also think that the soundtrack of Phantasia is better, but that's a different story)

Twelve hours? Yeah, you definitely need to get further in. :P The translation provides a lot of funny conversation as is; you just have to wait until you get certain characters before you really get a chance to see them. The music gets better later in the game, too.

- SPOILER -

But they made one mistake... They took away Kratos as a playable Character... Now you got this... this... Zelos with his moves. I thought Kratos was the only normal guy in the whole RPG and and and and

Uh...

*spoilers*

If you're at the point where you've gotten Zelos, you should have realised that Kratos ain't exactly normal. Either way, you CAN get Kratos back, but only towards the very end.

*no mo' spoilers*

Kid's show? Talk about cleavage, perverts, philanderers, and calling people things like "jackass", "bastard" and "S.O.B" would fit in a kid's show?

Well by normal I didn't actually mean that he's just a plain civilian or something, I just meant that he's the only one that actually had sarcastic lines and that he was practicly the only one from which I really liked the conversations.

Ah well, I'll finish the game anyway, but I think it'll never get as good as ToP which I think is the second best RPG ever created (with Chrono Trigger begin at no.1... sorry. Wait... put the gun down... I didn't mean it that way... No WAIT DONT!)

I just miss the fact that you could call up the Spirits every seconds as long as you (Klarth) had TP. Alright, I admit, the whole Over Limit idea is nice and it's different (I like it if developers try something new now and then), but the Spirits were the main thing in both Tales games...

I just like ToP too darn much to ever being able to admit that ToS is the same quality

I want my damn archer back. You can have your Regal, give me my Chester. Chester + Beserker Bow + Level 99 = WIN.

Anywho.

I admit that summoning was fun without having to go overlimits, but I think they were too much like spells - when Klarth has Gremlin and Arche has Meteor Storm, you really can't tell the difference 'cuz they're both casting nonstop. I liked that they slowed down the summoning and made them more powerful, but I think you get to summon far too rarely in Symphonia to make it truly worthwhile - unless you just like seeing Celsius, of course. ^_^

But yeah. Make Sheena's overlimits easier to reach next time.

Well sure, but by the time you have Gremlin and Meteor Storm, the only thing left is facing Dhaos. I mean, the Sylphs weren't exactly useful against foes and you had a lot of TP problems if you set them to non-stop casting.

And Chester and his Berserker Bow... That was a little too easy :P

I think my ROM was glitched. I ended up levelling in the Morlia Gallery's lower levels, and I kept getting countless Beserker Bows.

And the enemies in Symphonia got archers! Why couldn't we?

I started playing Tales of Phantasia and I agree that it is nice to have an archer buddy! Tales of Symphonia has it flaws...but I love it. I haven't played Tales of Phantasia enough, but so far it's pretty addicting.

Kid show?...I remember "you bastard," "..as you burn in hell." or some things Zelos talks about...

Also you can play Kratos again...just toward the end of the game.

Use Rune Bottles on Emerald Rings for 1/2 TP! ^_^

I know, but when you are in the beginning of the game (that's what I meant with "when you have the Sylphs") those items are a little hard to get

I really think that ToP is the 2nd best game ever created, I just missed some sort of New Game + mode (Chrono Trigger for those that did not recognize)

Or Red Saffron, Red Sage, and Red Savory (whichever increases Max TP by 10%). Again, I think my ROM was glitched - I kept getting a lot of those.

Oh yeah... I didn't realize until the end of the game on my third time through that you could make the red herbs for twice the boosts. XD
