Welcome to Movie Mandates, a review show in which sibling cinephiles Andrew and Keleigh force each other to watch movies according to a monthly theme! It’s Silent Movies month and I’m kicking things off with the Buster Keaton classic, THE GENERAL, a wacky adventure based on an amazing true story from the American Civil War that dares ask the question, “What if we changed things so the protagonists were fighting on the side of monstrous racists?!”
You’ll thrill to Keaton’s stunning stunt work and deft comedic touch but you won’t be able to root for him!

We’ll be back in two weeks with another mandated movie. If you’d like to watch it, click here to find where it’s streaming or available to rent.
