Kyle and Larry are check out music from the brand new Sonic Stadium Music Adventure album, the latest releases from OverClocked ReMix, and tons of other cool stuff from Yoga Fire!, Gibs, Mega Beardo, Magical Trick Society, and plenty more. They are also joined by a VERY special guest: Ares of the Cheetahmen HIMSELF!
Today I had a special guest cohost! Teezan! We talked a little bit more about Sakura-Con, how not to serve coconuts, and the feasibility of a Touhou con. Then Skype decided to be retarded later in the show. Oops! Let’s hope that doesn’t happen next time. Also, a friend of mine, who goes by Suzuran online, suddenly had to go to the hospital and is in the ICU. This episode will be dedicated to him, and I wish for his speedy recovery so he can go back to being his pink frilly annoying self Hang in there Suzuran!
TEN YEARS OF NITRO GAME INJECTION! Kyle and Larry are joined once again by Ian Flynn, SLiDER, and the first NGI appearance of Kureejii Lea! Kyle goes over some facts and history of NGI, selecting songs that represent each year of the show, as well as his personal favorite episodes. The Lady Paige also makes an appearance and questions Larry’s fridge-perusal abilities, leading to the discussion turning to…butter? This is NITRO BUTTER INJECTION!
ALSO, featuring the first (and maybe last) performance of The NGI Singers: KyleJCrb, Liontamer, Ian Flynn, Kureejii Lea, SLiDER, OverCoat, Mirby, FlozaxRollins, Abadoss, jmr, Jose the Bronx Rican, Species8472, and The Lady Paige “singing” ‘Super Sonic Racing’ from Sonic R and ‘Let’s Go Away’ from Daytona USA!
LIKE THE ART? The awesome Randall “FlozaxRollins” Drew put together some cool commemorative art to celebrate ten years, and YOU CAN BUY IT! For a limited time, you can order a print of the NGI Tenth Anniversary poster for a measly $10. Head over to Randall’s site RKDia Comics RIGHT NOW and pick it up!

Went solo again this week due to TrueStar having an extra long physics lab today. Today’s objective was to clear out the requests backlog, since last week I had A BIT OF A SPECIAL if you know what I mean. So I played all the requests that have been building for about 2 weeks now, and I feel pretty good. If you want to request something, again, please feel free to send an email to touhoutuesday@gmail.com! In other news, my friend Dr. Teezan opened a store for his vinyl decals! So far, there are several awesome designs by Suikasen. Go check it out. If you’re in the area or going, both of them plus myself will be at Sakuracon 2013! So come say hello to us pls! Speaking of conventions, I got another reminder of that horrible/awesome night at Akicon, from Banzatou, who discovered the photograph T_T! Read on for the playlist:
Hooray! It’s the special where both TrueStar and I have nearby birthdays. My birthday is on the 3rd of February, and TrueStar’s is on the 6th, and 3+6=⑨ huhuhuhu Anyway I asked TrueStar what we should do for today’s show, and she jokingly said that we should play all Cirno arrangements. I accidentally took her seriously, so we have 2 full hours of nothing but arrangements of “Beloved Tomboyish Girl” from Embodiment of Scarlet Devil. Also, at the same time, several amazing things are happening! First the big news, ZUN is finally coming to America! He will be a guest of Anime Weekend Atlanta in September. Yes, I know Touhou isn’t an anime! Second, on the other side of the world, the Touhou VN [Vietnamese] Community is having a style contest! Vote for Gensokyo’s most fashionable youkai in “Gensokyo’s Next Top Model!” On to the playlist. Can you handle all this ⑨?
NGI’s long-overdue PC Games Special is finally here, and with an amazing special guest: legendary game music composer Alexander “Siren” Brandon joins Kyle and Larry for nearly 2 hours to talk about his career, the state of the game industry, and the work he’s been doing with his production company Funky Rustic, along with showing off his awesome voice acting chops! They also check out tracks from Alex’s games and albums, including Tyrian, Deus Ex, Unreal Tournament, Dust: An Elysian Tail, and Initium Squared, along with original works from the albums Earthscape and Violet Electric!
Happy new year everyone! This episode is the first Touhou Tuesday of 2013. I kicked it off with, what else? A Comiket 83 special where I got so much great music I had to give it another hour. This also sort of makes up for the absence last week due to MAGFest… totally worth it! I talked about it a bit during the show, but I mostly just played all the new music that ended 2012 with a bang. New Shibayan, Tamaonsen, IOSYS, Tokyo Active NEETS, Sound HOLIC, etc… I was impressed that the event seems to have more and better music every 6 months. Read on for the full [and long] playlist:
It’s time for the annual winter show here at Nitro Game Injection! Along with some great music to get in the spirit of the season, Kyle and Larry give away a veritable slew of Steam game codes courtesy of the Humble Bundle, as well as the generosity of OC ReMixers DusK and CrimsonZeal! Larry handles his laundry duties, and “The Lady” Paige makes another cameo at the end of the show to tell us about how awesome turkey chili and RANDOM.ORG are. Featuring music from xoc, CZ Tunes, Sir_NutS, ansgaros, norg, Captain Tortilla, Level 99, and more!
