Larry argues that hatin’ McDonald’s is a crime and that it’s the finest in American cuisine, while Suraida makes a Face Heel Turn, joining Team Rocket along with Rhino Blastoseed in this weeks’ art challenge!

Yes, we have finally embraced the fact that we play too much Sonic and Mega Man music on this show.

Larry ditches NGI as Archie’s Sonic and Mega Man comic writer Ian Flynn fills in, joining Kyle and Suraida for, fittingly, a tribute to the greatest blue heroes of video games: Sonic & Mega Man! He talks a bit about the new Mega Man comic book and gushes over the awesomeness of Sonic Generations, as Kyle talks about the amazing Arnold Schwarzenegger death metal band Austrian Death Machine. They also take a listen to songs from Beatdrop, Game Over, LeeBro, Sukotto42, Jun Senoue, and of course many more.

ALSO: Kyle and Larry sit down with Bassil Silver, the bassist of hardcore nostalgic metal band POWERGLOVE. Bassil joins us from the road as Powerglove tours with Symphony X and Blackguard. Hear how the tour is going, get some insight into the band’s beginnings, their writing, how being signed to a label is working for them, and listen to TWO Sonic & Mega Man-related tracks from their sophomore effort, Metal Kombat for the Mortal Man!

Suraida is also issued her NGI Art Challenge for the week, and finally creates Rhino Blastoseed!

NGI celebrates eight years with over FIVE HOURS of music and FIVE guests joining Kyle and Larry! First, Akumu returns to the show to dedicate some time to pay tribute to doujin artist Fumapero, who is currently displaced in Japan after the recent string of disasters. Then Ian Flynn comes back on to brainstorm more awesome Rhino Blastoseed ideas with Larry and bash some of Sonic’s 3D game outings, Suraida-chan joins in to talk about her artwork and Pokeymans, Mae hops in to give the history of the BEER remix competition and make chicken noises, and finally jmr comes from 30 minutes in the future from his Canadian igloo to not really say a whole lot. We also pack over 26 songs into this super-extended episode of awesomeness!
