RIVERSIDE, CA–Nitro Game Injection is proud to announce the release of GAME DUELS Volume 1: A Video Game Mashup EP. Volume 1 features arrangements of music from No More Heroes, Ninja Gaiden, Knight’n'Grail, Live-A-Live, Metal Gear Solid 3, Final Fantasy VI, Hagane, and Prince of Persia. These arrangements were crafted by members of the KNGI forum community, with contributions from Chernabogue, Rexy, Omigadrive, Dj Mokram, and Eino Keskitalo.
This album was produced to promote the music of these games, was made by fans, for fans, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any game publisher or developer; all original compositions are copyright their respective owners.
Director Dj Mokram says:
“Inspired by Nitro Game Injection’s Versus Month, GAME DUELS Volume 1 is a unique concept pitting three iconic characters (Cowboy, Ninja and Warrior ) against each other in a VGM battle-royale. Each musician chooses two of the three protagonists (or themes ), and proceed to create an arrangement mashing up two or more songs from games that fit their selected themes. The result is an EP album spanning all generations of game systems, from the C64 and the NES all the way to the XB360 and PS3. Let the duels begin!”

The past weekend had quite a few things happen, one being PLANETFEST, a festival TrueStar went to to watch Bill Nye watch NASA watch their Curiosity rover safely land on Mars. Pretty awesome! Also, we are now hopelessly addicted to
Phantasmagoria of Flower View, and I share my newfound interest in Komachi, the offensively rich river ferryboat woman, with her endless danmaku made of money, as well as her boss, the hotdog-slinging judge of good and evil, Shikieiki. I also shared more news on my game in progress, “Touhou Brawl: Mountain of Fists” as well as our future cosplay as both Wriggle and Cirno for MAGFest. Read on for the playlist.
Due to holiday fun and family events, Nitro Game Injection and GameFuel will be off the air this weekend, July 7th and 8th. They will both return next week! We’ll see you then!
