My old friend, Andrew Aversa, aka zircon, released a new album recently. I played most of it on the show tonight, as well as favorites from a recently revived Stalking Duppi blog, which focuses on extremely obscure Japanese music from the 1980s. Had to play some stuff also from a new Ubiktune release, “I Miss You – Earthbount 2012,” unfortunately overshadowed by releases of a monolithic stature both before and after its release. Also caught up a bit with iamamiwhoami, a favorite experimental synth band of mine. Read on for the full playlist below.

Larry’s working hard prepping for his trip to the Tokyo Game Show, so Ian Flynn steps into the co-hosting role, making his fifth appearance on Nitro Game Injection! Ian and Kyle of course talk shop and catch up on Sonic and Mega Man comics while grooving to the smooth tones of a very jazzy playlist featuring tracks from Sir Jordanius, T-Square, DJ-AKX, Hat, The Runaway Five, and many more. Slider also FINALLY makes her grand return halfway through the episode, and Kyle takes Larry’s role and tries to convince Ian and Slider that they NEED to go to MAGFest (especially if he manages to go! )
