cysmix.bandcamp.com friend of the show and Norwegian Doujin Music Composer cYsmix released his album Ghost Party yesterday, and came on the show today to help us all celebrate, and we asked him a few questions and he had the most horrible interview of his career thanks to me not preparing at all! Today was also kind of nuts because in addition to TrueStar, we had Temporary Permanent Other Best Cohost Teezan and Newcomer Kawaii Imouto-chan Cohost Suikasen came to my house! We all cohosted together in the same room. Except TrueStar. Poor TrueStar ! We talked about our trip earlier today to the Tsubaki Grand Shrine of America in Granite Falls, WA, one of just a couple Shinto shrines in America. It was completely surrounded by thick green forest and really felt like you were stepping into another world. I told people that the entrance to Gensokyo was in Washington, but I didn’t believe it myself until I went!
I had the fortune of hosting a release party for zircon’s AMAZING new album, Identity Sequence. During the show I had a conference call with both Jill and Andrew Aversa, the brains behind the album, as well as the lovely Jeff Ball and Chris Gordon, and artist Jessie Lam. We all had a lot of fun and I asked them questions about the kind of amazing effort each one of them put forth towards making Identity Sequence. You can pick up the album for $10 right on his site. Really had a lot of fun hosting this album party, and zircon is allowing me to host the recorded show that includes the album itself and the interview segments. I also started off the show with a few selected tracks from zircon himself. Read on for the playlist!
Today, I got to interview Leo, the artist behind the popular Ask Udonge tumblr. I also broke my listener record… by a lot! Wow! I asked Leo many questions about his art, his life, and what the future holds for him. I took a couple breaks for music, so if you’re curious what I played, read on for the playlist:

Today we had an interview with the great Helepolis, and talked about his trip to Japan and Reitasai, which is archived magnificently in comic form here, courtesy of warugaki, as well as talked about Touhou, and the fans. We were able to cover everything in the interview without going over, amazingly, so I finished with some eurobeat this week. Enjoy the interview, and I hope you all learned something! Read on for the playlist.
Today, I played a lot of songs from Distant Phantasm 5 throughout the show, and made up for last week by playing lots more requests and just music in general. Also announced the interview for next week, with Helepolis, as well as talked about the new ZUN CD coming out at Comiket 82! Read on for the full playlist.
I think this is a record both for amount of listeners and how long I’ve done a show in one sitting. Wow! Today I played all new music from Reitaisai 9, with more than 2 hours of music because of all that I collected. If that wasn’t enough, I had an hour and 15 minute interview with Renko, who runs the circle ORANGE★JAM! Read on for the playlist.
