This week, NGI welcomes legendary composer Grant Kirkhope as part of an episode paying tribute to his career as a composer for critically-acclaimed Rare titles like Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Banjo-Kazooie, and Donkey Kong 64, as well as the recently-released Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning from Big Huge Games. Grant speaks extensively with Kyle, Larry, & Slider about his work on Amalur, as well as sharing his thoughts on his time with Rare and giving some background on the soundtracks for Banjo-Kazooie and Goldeneye, as well as sharing the history behind the infamous DK Rap. Nick is the man behind one of the very first video game music radio shows and direct inspiration for KyleJCrb to start his own: Super Radio X! He is also half of Mega Man cover band Project X, along with Mike Gintz, who together also form the original music projects Clawjob and Hex Map.
