After several guest appearances leading up to this point, Slider makes the logical jump and joins NGI as an official, semi-permanent co-host! She will be appearing on future episodes along with Kyle and Larry, bringing some much needed class to Nitro Game Injection.
On this episode, Larry pimps the upcoming Sound of Speed: Sonic The Hedgehog OverClocked ReMix arrangement album, Kyle fails at the English language, and Slider accepts Larry’s challenge to redesign the Cheetahmen! NGI celebrates eight years with over FIVE HOURS of music and FIVE guests joining Kyle and Larry! First, Akumu returns to the show to dedicate some time to pay tribute to doujin artist Fumapero, who is currently displaced in Japan after the recent string of disasters. Then Ian Flynn comes back on to brainstorm more awesome Rhino Blastoseed ideas with Larry and bash some of Sonic’s 3D game outings, Slider-chan joins in to talk about her artwork and Pokeymans, Mae hops in to give the history of the BEER remix competition and make chicken noises, and finally jmr comes from 30 minutes in the future from his Canadian igloo to not really say a whole lot. We also pack over 26 songs into this super-extended episode of awesomeness!
Audun “Akumu Audi” Sørlie returns to NGI, joining Kyle and Larry to lend his expertise on Japanese fan-made musical arrangements, known as doujin works. This episode is dedicated to showcasing just a small portion of the best of the best from the doujin community, and Audun shares his extensive knowledge on several subjects, including that which will remain unspoken of forever, or at least until Audi comes back again.
